Gem#001: Stars in Coma “And The Cloud Withdrew From The Sky”
18 Jul
Here we are. The first “Gem” is out. I’m really proud to begin with a work (a BRAND NEW and unpublished work) by an artist I always admire and listen to with great attention: Stars in Coma (check out his bio here).
Stars in Coma new work for Kingem Records is called “And The Cloud Withdrew From The Sky” and is sort of a self-archeology project. If you’re in love with indie pop, Animal Collective and electro indie music, you will find Stars in Coma‘s new release to be your sweet cup of tea.
As we can see André Brorsson – head of the Swedish project – exploring his feelings in the last years of this 21st century madness from a review mirror perspective, Stars in Coma is musically trying to push the pedal to explore new directions and territories.
If you have to compare André with Bob Dylan, “And The Cloud Withdrew From The Sky” would have to be placed between “Blood on the tracks” and “The Basement Tapes”.
The album is available on CDR with really cool art made by Håkan Carlsson and Mark Zonda. The sleeve also contains track notes written by André. There’s also some upcoming KinGem gadgets that will be set up for digital distribution later on.
